What is Design/Build?
Design/Build is when the owner forms a contractual relationship with one company, the Design/Build Contractor, who then, in turn, either provides the design and contracting services with its own employees or partners with qualified subcontractors. The building process is simplified by dealing with one reputable company for planning and construction and measurable results are achieved by tracking conformance to budget and time schedules.
Design/Build Contractor is Responsible For:
- Permitting including local and state regulatory approvals
- Architectural & Structural Engineering
- Electric & Mechanical Engineering
- Interior Design
- Construction
Design
- Provide site utilization and development plans
- Create conceptual and working building plans
- In-house building designers incorporating Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
- Partner with qualified consultants
Build
- Construction management
- Skilled and efficient professional construction personnel
- Partner with a select group of qualified subcontractors
